movement. Inspiring a commitment
to care for the land, feeling
that one has a vital role in preserving
an area for this and future generations,
is one of the fundamental
goals of land managers, park rangers,
and other individuals and organizations
involved in environmental
professions.

The Slifer Trail
The Slifer Parcel is one of Westord’s
small but shining gems. Birds abound. Picnic tables
offer snack opportunities, with one
that overlooks sparkling Keyes Pond. Kids will love the colors and textures
they can find along the easy trail.
They will be drawn to the many different
types of trees and bushes growing,
